EBC Corvette (C6/C7) 6.2 Grand Sport USR Slotted Rear Rotors
The USR, or Ultimax Slotted Rotor range, is our premium, silent street range designed for fast street use. It is made using the highest quality R90-approved G3000 grey iron rotor blanks.
Statement of Origin – EBC Brakes manufactures 92% of everything it sells in its own plants in the UK or USA. That’s impressive for a brake brand, likely one of the largest in the world.
Rather than focusing on where the last 8% of bought-in components come from, we emphasize the QUALITY of everything we purchase. EBC is in CONTROL of these bought-in components through BS5750 and ISO accreditations. But we don’t stop there. Every factory we outsource from is visited regularly, and systems are checked. Every component we receive is batch checked for metallurgy, accuracy, X-ray inspection, balance, and dimensional checks.
All EBC rotors, including USR Slotted Rotors, are British-made and precision machined in the UK or the USA.
The rotors are made from high-quality, R90-approved grey iron rotor/disc blanks to exacting standards and undergo extensive testing and rigorous quality control.
Slotted rotors can significantly improve brake performance and longevity when used with a matching high-friction brake pad set. Having sold hundreds of thousands of brake kits, EBC Brakes feels confident that their approach is as perfect as it gets.
Manufactured using premium disc blanks mentioned above, the narrower multi slot design of the Ultimax sport rotor and the progressive angle at which the slots are machined creates a quiet running sport rotor that still has benefits of removing gas, dirt, water and debris and maintaining parallel pad wear.
EBC have always been honest enough to say that the biggest advantage of slotted rotors is the fact that they promote flat and parallel pad wear rather than allowing ridges to develop on pads and rotors which is typical of “drilled only” sport rotors. By preventing these ridges brakes stay more consistent throughout pad and rotor wear life (simple physics!).
DO NOT FIT UPGRADE PADS TO REAR OF VEHICLE UNLESS SAME UPGRADE FITTED TO FRONT, The ?Thermic Black coating? does NOT need to be removed before install. Do NOT use brake cleaner or any other method to remove Thermic Black coating from discs rotors. The Thermic black coating will be removed in the pad swept area by the brake pads with in the first 10 to 20 stops made after installation on the vehicle. The ?Thermic Black coating? is an anti corrosion coating for long resistance against rust. Attempting to remove Thermic Black Coating with brake cleaner or any other method is NOT covered under EBC warranty
